We share the records of what were the mobilizations in Rio de Janeiro in the framework of the coordinated demonstrations on September 7, throughout Brazil.
The CST (Socialist Workers Current), the Brazilian section of the International Workers’ Unity – Fourth International, took part in the mobilisations throughout Brazil in opposition to the mobilisations called by Bolsonaro’s reactionary government. The CST intervened with a large column of militants against Mourão, for Out with Bolsonaro, against the privatisation of the Post Office and the administrative reform. We are against the labour reform, for a rise in wages, for the reduction in the price of food, fuel and public transport fares. We say NO to pay the foreign debt and a tax on the enormous fortunes of billionaires. We demand a general vaccination plan and a vaccine patent waver. In addition, the CST is seeking to advance in the building of a National Front of the Left and Socialists with the PSOL (Solidarity Party), UP (Popular Unity), PCB (Brazilian Communist Party) and PSTU (Socialist Workers’ Party).
