11 April 2024. Israeli forces killed three children and four grandchildren of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, in the Gaza Strip.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Aljazeera, a drone hit the Haniyeh family\u2019s car in the Al Shati refugee camp, in the north of the narrow and devastated Palestinian territory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Witness said Haniyeh\u2019s children and grandchildren were driving in the Al-Shati refugee camp, a few kilometres west of Gaza City, when a bomb hit it.<\/span><\/p>\n

They declared the Haniyeh were targeted as they were visiting relatives to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Muslims mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan with a gathering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Haniyeh received the news in Doha where he lives, while he was visiting injured Palestinians being treated in the Qatar capital. The attack occurred when Hamas analysed the last truce proposal because of the negotiation in Cairo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ismail Haniyeh, top Hamas leader since 2007, says <\/span>\u00abKillings will not deter Palestinian leaders or force them to back down\u2026If they think that targeting my children at the peak of these talks before the movement\u2019s [Hamas\u2019s] response is submitted will cause Hamas to change its positions, they are delusional\u00bb. <\/span><\/i>\u00ab<\/span>Our position will not change\u00bb, said Haniyeh.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u00ab<\/span>The Israeli military later said that it targeted the three sons, describing them as Hamas military operatives who were on their way to \u201ccarry out terrorist activities in the central area of the Gaza Strip\u201d.<\/span><\/i> \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

Netanyahu\u2019s government aims to cleanse Gaza ethnically by killing Gazan Palestinians and seizing their land through bombings, military raids, and starvation. That is the reason they are not interested in negotiations that led to their retreat from the Gaza Strip. While negotiations are ongoing, they murder the family of the key Hamas leader in charge of those negotiations.<\/span><\/p>\n
