\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On the 26th and 27th of April, 2025, an extraordinary conference was successfully held for the fusion of the\u00a0Internationalist Struggle<\/i>\u00a0(LI<\/i>) with the group of comrades from the\u00a0Red Current<\/i>\u00a0 and the\u00a0International Workers League – Fourth International\u00a0<\/i>(IWLfi<\/i>). This is an important step to advance further in the construction of the revolutionary party in the Spanish State, with a qualitative advance in its state construction, with the integration of comrades from Andalusia and Madrid. At the same time, comrades from Germany have also joined the\u00a0IWU-FI<\/i>. In this way, the\u00a0International Workers’ Unity – Fourth International<\/i>\u00a0(IWU-FI<\/i>) is being strengthened in order to continue its construction in Europe.<\/div>\n

It is a big step forward in the context of the deepening crisis of the capitalist-imperialist system and the counter-offensive that the far-right Donald Trump intends to carry out. If anything showed the decadence of capitalism, it was the unprecedented collapse of the electrical grid and subsequent blackout that began on April\u00a028th, which left the Spanish State, Portugal and parts of southern France without electricity for more than 12 hours. An electricity system that, should be noted, is run by private company networks.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The conference was held in the auditorium of the Cotxeres de Sants Civic Centre, in Barcelona. Delegations from Catalonia, Valencia, Madrid and Andalusia took part in the conference. International delegations of the\u00a0IWU-FI<\/i> were also present, with Nuno Geraldes, from United Workers<\/i>\u00a0(TU<\/i>) from Portugal, Eugenio Gemmo and Favio Neri representing the\u00a0Marxist Revolutionary League Movement<\/i>\u00a0(M-LMR<\/i>) from Italy, comrade Belize, for the\u00a0Workers’ Democracy Party\u00a0<\/i>(IDP<\/i>) from Turkey, two comrades from Germany, and Miguel Sorans for the\u00a0International Executive Committee<\/i>\u00a0(CEI) and the\u00a0Socialist Left<\/i>\u00a0(IS<\/i>) from Argentina. Greetings were also\u00a0sent from the\u00a0Socialist Workers’ Current<\/i>\u00a0(CST<\/i>) from Brazil, the\u00a0Socialism and Freedom Party<\/i>\u00a0(PSL<\/i>) from Venezuela, the\u00a0Socialist Workers’ Movement\u00a0<\/i>(MST<\/i>) from Chile, the\u00a0Revolutionary Working People’s Alternative<\/i>\u00a0(ARPT<\/i>) from Bolivia, and the\u00a0Movement for Socialism<\/i>\u00a0(MAS<\/i>) from Mexico.<\/div>\n

The honorary presidency went to the resistance of the Palestinian and Ukrainian peoples. Josep Llu\u00eds del Alc\u00e1zar opened the debate by presenting his repors on the international situation, and Cristina Mas, on the Palestinian resistance and the Middle East; Cristina Darriba and David P\u00e9rez reported on the political situation in the Spanish State, with M. Esther del Alc\u00e1zar giving an update on party construction. The resolutions and the new board were then voted on.<\/p>\n

On Saturday 26th there was an act in which the following spoke for\u00a0LI<\/i>: Cristina Mas (Catalonia), Andr\u00e9s (Madrid), David P\u00e9rez (Andalusia), Miguel Sorans (CEI<\/i>\u00a0of the\u00a0IWU-FI<\/i>), with Cristina Darriba closing the session. A special greeting was given by David Orta, president of the committee of the chemical company\u00a0AkzoNobel\u00a0<\/i>(ex\u00a0Titan<\/i>), currently fighting against\u00a0a wave\u00a0of lay-offs.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Then there was a celebration of 25 years of Lucha Internacionalista and 200th edition of their press-newspaper.<\/div>\n
