DECLARACI\u00d3N DEL COMIT\u00c9 COORDINADOR UIT-CI\/CEI<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\nMillones de brasile\u00f1os han ganado las calles de m\u00e1s de 300 ciudades, realizando la mayor movilizaci\u00f3n de la historia de ese pa\u00eds, el m\u00e1s grande, poblado e importante de Latinoam\u00e9rica. Aunque desde hace dos a\u00f1os hay un proceso de importantes luchas parciales de los trabajadores, casi nadie imaginaba este repentino estallido. La chispa que provoc\u00f3 la explosi\u00f3n fue el aumento de 20 centavos de real en los precios del transporte urbano. Pero evidentemente esta no era la \u00fanica, ni la principal causa del descontento acumulado. <\/p>\n
El aumento del transporte fue anulado en las principales ciudades la semana pasada, y sin embargo al d\u00eda siguiente la movilizaci\u00f3n fue a\u00fan mayor. Esta movilizaci\u00f3n no tuvo, ni tiene una direcci\u00f3n reconocida. Fue convocada en su mayor parte por j\u00f3venes desde Facebook.<\/p>\n
La gente en las calles denuncia la corrupci\u00f3n del gobierno nacional encabezado por Dilma Rousseff\/PT y de los gobiernos de los Estados (PT, PMDB, PSDB, etc.), especialmente en relaci\u00f3n a las fara\u00f3nicas obras para el mundial de F\u00fatbol, con despilfarro de miles de millones de d\u00f3lares que no dejar\u00e1n ning\u00fan legado para el pueblo trabajador, pero que permiten grandes negociados entre la FIFA, las constructoras y los pol\u00edticos corruptos.<\/p>\n
Consignas como: \u00abQuiero salud, educaci\u00f3n, no me importa si Brasil sale campe\u00f3n!\u00bb o \u00ab\u00a1Que la FIFA pague mi tarifa!\u00bb son predominantes en las calles. En el pa\u00eds m\u00e1s fan\u00e1tico del f\u00fatbol en el mundo, estas consignas muestran el salto en la conciencia producido en las masas movilizadas.<\/p>\n
El 20 de junio las calles y las ciudades fueron del pueblo<\/p>\n
El gobierno perdi\u00f3 el control de la situaci\u00f3n. La presidente Dilma Rousseff, del PT, as\u00ed como los gobernadores, intendentes (alcaldes), el Parlamento y los partidos tradicionales sufrieron un golpe gigantesco. Los gobernantes que hab\u00edan mandado a reprimir las movilizaciones, lo \u00fanico que consiguieron fue agigantarlas. Entonces, dirigentes del PT hablaron de \u00abgolpe de derecha\u00bb y hasta de \u00abconspiraci\u00f3n internacional\u00bb. Pero despu\u00e9s de la hist\u00f3rica movilizaci\u00f3n del 20 de junio, Rousseff asustada comenz\u00f3 a decir que los manifestantes ten\u00edan raz\u00f3n y que hab\u00eda que escucharlos. Incluso se reuni\u00f3 con dirigentes del Movimiento Pase Libre, uno de los grupos juveniles que iniciaron las protestas por Facebook. Y sali\u00f3 a proponer un pacto con los gobernadores y los intendentes de las capitales donde m\u00e1s de una vez propuso una serie de generalidades, como la de convocar a un plebiscito para hacer una reforma pol\u00edtica, una medida que, al d\u00eda siguiente, el propio gobierno comenzaba a recular.<\/p>\n
No propuso ninguna de las soluciones que exige el pueblo en la calle. Habl\u00f3 de m\u00e1s presupuesto para salud y educaci\u00f3n, pero mantiene la privatizaci\u00f3n de los hospitales y las escuelas, y las universidades p\u00fablicas est\u00e1n cada vez en peores condiciones, mientras 450.000 millones de d\u00f3lares, el 42% del presupuesto federal, se destinan al pago de capital e intereses de la deuda.<\/p>\n
Sin direcci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica, con muchas confusiones, pero con la fuerza que le dan las masivas marchas y apoyados en la simpat\u00eda de la mayor\u00eda de la poblaci\u00f3n, la juventud brasile\u00f1a sali\u00f3 a repudiar a los partidos tradicionales.<\/p>\n
Aprovechando esta onda, peque\u00f1os sectores de ultraderecha atacaron columnas de la izquierda participantes de estos actos, hiriendo a varios compa\u00f1eros. Nos solidarizamos con los compa\u00f1eros agredidos y repudiamos a los grupos que con m\u00e9todos fascistas intentan liquidar la movilizaci\u00f3n, al igual que el gobierno. Por eso no hay que caer en la trampa de sectores gobiernistas, como los que, encabezados por dirigentes del PT y PCdoB, el viernes 21 convocaron en San Pablo a una reuni\u00f3n con sindicatos, organizaciones sociales y corrientes de izquierda con la excusa de \u00abcombatir al fascismo\u00bb, cuando en realidad lo que buscan es levantar fantasmas para frenar el gigantesco proceso de movilizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
\u00a1Darle continuidad a la movilizaci\u00f3n!<\/p>\n
Dilma y el PT, as\u00ed como el PCdoB (Partido Comunista de Brasil, que es parte del gobierno), ya no son de izquierda. Gobiernan con la derecha del PMDB, las transnacionales imperialistas, con los banqueros, con los terratenientes del agro negocio, al igual que los otros gobiernos latinoamericanos, incluyendo los supuestos progresistas como Cristina Kirchner, o los llamados del \u00absocialismo del siglo XXI\u00bb como Maduro, Correa, Ortega o Evo Morales. Por eso ahora quieren que el pueblo m\u00e1s pobre y el conjunto de los trabajadores paguen la factura de la crisis capitalista internacional y se entregan cada vez m\u00e1s al imperialismo. \u00a1A todos se les est\u00e1 cayendo la m\u00e1scara de \u00abprogresistas\u00bb, \u00abizquierdistas\u00bb o \u00absocialistas\u00bb! La rebeli\u00f3n del pueblo brasile\u00f1o es parte de la rebeli\u00f3n mundial contra el ajuste capitalista. Los propios brasile\u00f1os en las calles lo expresaron as\u00ed: \u00abBrasil se convirti\u00f3 en Turqu\u00eda\u00bb. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo que pase en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas, ya nada ser\u00e1 igual en Brasil. Millones han comprobado su fuerza, han comprendido que los gobernantes no sirven al pueblo, y ya no aceptar\u00e1n que los sigan gobernando como antes.<\/p>\n
Por eso apoyamos la justa movilizaci\u00f3n del pueblo brasile\u00f1o. La izquierda revolucionaria brasile\u00f1a tiene que seguir en la calle junto a la movilizaci\u00f3n popular. Hay que reclamar que la convocatoria a un D\u00eda Nacional de Lucha para el 11 de julio por parte de las diversas centrales sindicales, se organice y se cumpla. En este sentido apoyamos la declaraci\u00f3n de la CST-Corriente Socialista de los Trabajadores, do PSOL, que defiende, entre otras consignas: \u00ab\u00a1Dinero para salud y educaci\u00f3n, no para la Copa! \u00a1Municipalizaci\u00f3n del transporte con pase libre para estudiantes y desocupados! \u00a1Suspender el pago de la deuda a los banqueros y destinar esos recursos para \u00e1reas sociales! \u00a1C\u00e1rcel a los corruptos! \u00a1Unir a los que luchan! \u00a1Por aumento de salarios y mejores condiciones de trabajo! \u00a1Que las Centrales y Federaciones sindicales convoquen a una huelga general! Organizar la lucha coordinando entre el Movimiento Pase Libre de San Pablo, el foro de luchas de Rio, y dem\u00e1s movimientos de todos los estados. Y para eso continuar en las calles y constituir comit\u00e9s de base para la lucha en universidades, centros de estudio, de trabajo y barrios.\u00bb<\/p>\n

\nSTATEMENT OF THE COORDINATING COMMITTEE IWU-FI\/ILS<\/em><\/p>\nLong live the struggle of the Brazilian people!<\/strong><\/p>\nMillions of Brazilians have won the streets of over 300 cities, making the largest demonstration in the history of this country, the largest, most populous and important in Latin America. Although for two years there has been a significant process of partial struggles of workers, almost no one expected this sudden outburst. The spark that caused the explosion was the increase of 20 cents of Brazilian Real (BRL) in urban transport prices. But obviously this was not the only or the main cause of discontent accumulated.<\/p>\n
The increase in transport was canceled in major cities last week, and yet the next day the mobilization was even greater. This mobilization did not have or has a recognized leadership. It was convened largely by young people from Facebook. People in the streets denouncing the corruption of the national government headed by Dilma Rousseff \/ PT [Workers Party] and the governments of the States (PT, PMDB [Brazilian Democratic Movement Party], PSDB [Brazilian Social Democracy Party], etc.), especially in relation to the pharaonic works for the World Cup, with waste of billions of dollars that will leave no legacy for working people, but allow large deals between FIFA, builders and corrupt politicians.<\/p>\n
Slogans such as: \u00abI want health, I want education, it does not matter if Brazil becomes champion!\u00bb Or \u00abLet FIFA pay my fee\u00bb are predominant in the streets. In the most football (soccer) fanatic country in the world, these slogans show the leap in consciousness occurred in the mobilized masses.<\/p>\n
On June 20 the streets and the cities belonged to the people<\/strong><\/p>\nThe government lost control of the situation. President Dilma Rousseff of the PT, as well as governors, mayors, Parliament and the traditional parties took a huge hit. The rulers, who had ordered to quell the protests, all they achieved was to enlarge them. Then PT leaders spoke of a \u00abcoup of the right\u00bb and even \u00abinternational conspiracy\u00bb. But, after the historic mobilization of June 20, Rousseff, scared, started saying protesters were right and one had to listen to them. She even met with leaders of the Free Pass Movement, one of the youth groups that initiated the protests by Facebook. And she went on to propose a pact with the governors and the mayors of the capitals where once more she proposed a series of generalities like to call a plebiscite for political reform, a move the next day, the government itself began to back down.<\/p>\n
She did not propose any of the solutions that the people on the street demand. She spoke of more budget for health and education, but keeps the privatization of hospitals and public schools and universities are increasingly worse, while US$ 450 billion, 42% of the federal budget goes to pay principal and interest on the debt.<\/p>\n
Without political leadership, with much confusion, but with the strength that give the massive marches and supported by the sympathy of the majority of the population, the Brazilian youth came out to repudiate traditional parties.<\/p>\n
Taking advantage of this wave, small sectors of far right wing attacked left columns participant in these acts, wounding several comrades. We sympathize with the attacked comrades and repudiate the groups who with fascist methods attempt to liquidate the mobilization, like the government. So we must not fall into the trap of governing sectors, such as those led by leaders of the PT and PCdoB [Communist Party of Brazil] who on Friday 21 convened in Sao Paulo to a meeting with unions, social organizations and leftist currents under the guise of \u00abfighting fascism \u00abwhen in fact they are looking to raise ghosts to curb the gigantic mobilization process.<\/p>\n
Giving continuity to the mobilization!<\/strong><\/p>\nDilma and the PT, as well as the PCdoB (which is part of the government) are no longer of the left. They rule with right of the PMDB, the imperialist transnationals, with bankers, with landowners of agribusiness, same as other Latin American governments, including the assumed progressive ones as Cristina Kirchner, or the so-called \u00absocialism of the XXI century\u00bb as Mature , Correa, Ortega and Evo Morales. Thus now they want the poorest people and the whole of the workers pay the bill for the international capitalist crisis and are increasingly turning to imperialism. They are all dropping the mask of \u00abprogressive\u00bb, \u00ableftist\u00bb or \u00absocialist\u00bb! The revolt of the Brazilian people is part of the worldwide revolt against capitalist adjustment. The Brazilians themselves on the streets expressed it well: \u00abBrazil became Turkey.\u00bb Beyond what happens in the next few days, nothing will be the same in Brazil. Millions have proven their strength, have realized that the rulers do not serve the people, and I will not accept that ruling continue as before.<\/p>\n
That is why we support the just mobilization of the Brazilian people. The Brazilian revolutionary left has to remain on the streets next to the popular mobilization. We must demand that the call for a National Day of struggle for July 11, by the various union federations, be organized and enforced it. In this regard we support the statement CST – Current Socialist Workers of PSOL, which advocates, among other slogans: \u00abMoney for health and education, not for the Cup! Municipalization of public transport with free passes for students and unemployed! Suspend payment of the debt to the bankers and direct those resources to social areas! Jail for the corrupt! Unity of those who fight! For higher wages and better working conditions! That the Central and Union Federations call a general strike! Organize the struggle coordinating between the Free Pass Movement of Sao Paulo, Rio’s struggles forum, and other movements of all states. And for that, to continue in the streets and form grassroots Committees for the fight in universities, study centers, workplaces, and neighborhoods.\u00bb<\/p>\n
We call on the trade unions and popular organizations in Latin America and the world to give an opinion, to disseminate the causes of popular struggle in Brazil, and send messages of solidarity to the organizations that are fighting alongside the Brazilian people.<\/p>\n
