For over twenty years our current, Socialist Alternative, has been trying hard to build itself as a revolutionary socialist alternative in Ayacucho. We have gained experience from a small founding group that barely \u00abfit in an armchair\u00bb, as Lenin said, to a vanguard group of comrades faithful to the cause of Marx, Lenin, Trotsky and Moreno.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Trotskyism in Ayacucho? yes, comrades, from the historical bastion of Maoism and Stalinism, in a death match against the populist front, reformism and socialism of the 21st century. Countless comrades have passed and left, bought out by life and because we did not offer them positions, comforts or state posts, gained to the ease of following any bourgeois or left reformist project, we only offered them socialism, sacrifice and dedication concentrated on the working class and its aspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n

From our beginnings until now we have shown a programmatic and political coherence, always and everywhere fighting for our principles, despite being a minority, name-calling and other rants. At College, the Defence Front, trade unions and places where we have been involved, we have always done it with honesty and revolutionary morality, giving the best to our class and people.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, when the bourgeois and reformist parties of all kind have no answer to the economic, political and social problems of workers, deepening the crisis of neoliberal capitalism and its decadent bourgeois democratic regime, the time has come to join our efforts with other comrades with whom we share a programme, the same political interpretation of reality and who offer to build a national and international organisation, true to the teachings of Marxism-Leninism to promote the workers’ government, which is no more and no less than socialism, with workers’ democracy, which will be forged by the workers themselves, with a programme to recover our sovereignty, fighting to the death against imperialism and capitalism and their depredations, struggling against the bourgeoisie, both national and international, that consumes the labour force of others..<\/span><\/p>\n

It is in this context that Socialist Alternative Ayacucho will unite to be part of the Workers\u2019 Party-Unios, and its international organisation IWU-FI (International Workers\u2019 Unity) with the strategic aim at rebuilding the Fourth International, for which we call on the Ayacucho and Peruvian workers to come and build a political tool from themselves, from the workers. We call upon the peasants, the homemakers who work day by day, the teachers, the studious youth, the combative women, to share our project, to discuss our programme to join us.<\/span><\/p>\n
