The International Workers’ Union-Fourth International (IWU-FI) is calling for an open online international women’s meeting on Saturday 17 October, which will highlight feminist struggles in this pandemic. To register: http://bit.ly/3daet7y. Or by email to uitcuartainternacional@gmail.com
The combination of the COVID-19 pandemic with the current economic crisis of the capitalist-imperialist system increases gender inequalities: greater feminisation of poverty, a notable increase in care and reproductive work, growth of gender violence, which adds to new impediments in access to reproductive health and sexual rights. These are the policies that imperialism and all the governments worldwide are carrying out to unload the capitalist crisis onto the backs of the working class and which weigh most heavily on women. Therefore, the feminist struggle and the organisation of women independently is crucial to face these attacks.
We invite you to take part in the international women’s meeting, where comrades from different countries will be present. We will count on the voice of Latin American and Caribbean women, from the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Don’t miss the opportunity to listen to and debate with the protagonists of the main feminist struggles in the world.
