Mohamed Abdalrasool of Sudan and Fethi Nourin of Algeria withdrew from the Olympic Games, refusing to compete with Israeli judoka Tohar Butbul. This was described by THE media as “discrimination”. But it is in fact an impressive demonstration of the solidarity of other Arab peoples, such as Algeria and Sudan, with the Palestinian people massacred and their land occupied by the Zionist Israeli state.
Many athletes have taken part in the international campaign to boycott Israel, refusing to take part in tournaments with those who carry the flag of that genocidal state.
